American way of life. Polaroid photography exhibition organized at the Impossible Project store in Barcelona. In 1947 Polaroid amazed the world by presenting the first instant photography, revealed just in 60 seconds. This instantaneity fit perfectly with the American way of life and became the most popular tool to document much of the private life of the American society in the first half of the XX century. The exhibition features 100 original images between the 50s and 90s with the intention of showing the eccentricities of their way of life increasingly exported around the world. We could see images from teenager to be graduating to typical “wannabe” gangster, the real Homer Simpson sleeping in the couch passing by many American flags and kitsch elements everywhere. The images are very powerful and speak by themselves so for the design of the exhibition I used a very simple and direct and modern American typography “Gotham” the one Obama chose for his campaign in 2008.The Impossible Project is currently the only brand that produce new instant film materials for the traditional Polaroid cameras.

Logo, stamp design and photography for the exhibition Horizons.
Horizons is a landscape photography exhibition composed of images with a strong central vanishing point in common. The exhibition was developed from this sentence:“We all live under the same sky, but we don’t all have the same horizon” Konrad Adenauer.
The intention of the project is to capture the infinity of ways, the beauty of variety and the fortune of being able to choose.
The pictures of the exhibition were carried out by Marta and Carla Cascales Alimbau, two sisters who attracted to any kind of artistic expression, have found in photography a way of transmitting their view of the world.
The logo “Photography and Soul” represents the union of this two sisters through photography. For the visual identity of the exhibition we decided to create a stamp and use it in all the applications like business cards, invitations, flyers…
You can see all the pictures of the exhibition here.
Exhibition July 16 to October 8, 2012. Hotel Eurostars BCN Design, Barcelona.

Packaging design for Masia Can Carbonell, organic vegetables.
Can Carbonell is a small country house located in a little town of Girona (Spain). The farmhouse cultivates and sells organic fruit and vegetables without using pesticides or GMOs.
The intention of the packaging is to respect the philosophy of the brand by avoiding the use of synthetic or chemical materials, such as plastic. The basic materials used for the design are sack cloth, ecological black ink, recycled paper, cardboard and natural fibre string.
The concept has been designed to show essentially the product, as naturally as possible. The typography and composition are very simple, making it easy to discern the information given.
Each label includes: an outer part with the detailed product information (grams, origin, category…), and as an added value, an inside part with a healthy recipe for cooking it.
The consumer can save these labels to make a little recipe collection. Binding them together with a string then makes it practical to have at hand in the kitchen. The recipes change according to the season, type of product, and required ingredients. In this way the consumer gets a new recipe every time they purchase fruits or vegetables distributed by the brand.
